While there are some A-list names, many of whom fall into the celebrity category, there are a lot of individuals who might not be world renowned – but are seen as industry leaders, or people who have made the world of difference in business.

Bearing the above in mind, we’ll now take a look at five of these individuals to see what they have brought to the world of business – and how UW helped them get there.

This all came after his MBA from UW in 1972.

Russ Lea

Next on the list comes someone who isn’t necessarily going to be known to every man out there, but his success over the years cannot be ignored. Russ Lea is one of the most highly-regarded individuals in oil and his education actually started following a Forest Science degree at UW.

Since then, he’s established himself as one of the best researchers in the world. He’s held various research positions at universities all over the country and the fact he was CEO of NEON, one of the biggest projects involved in climate change, says everything you need to know about his reputation.
